The second largest island after Crete, in Greek archipelagos and the third after Cyprus in the eastern Mediterranean. It is separated from the mainland of Greece with the Evian Gulf.






Beaches in Skyros

Pouria  beach


The extra-terrestrial landscape in cigars is definitely worth a visit. The seaside ancient quarry has left visible marks of carving the limestone. Next to the quarry will see the impressive undermine church of St. Nicholas, carved in the corner of an upright rock, which fits 2-3 people. Across the street,  stone ’s throws stands on the islet of the chapel of St. Ermolaos, and very close the "stone mushroom", the rock formation that is the trademark of the island.

Pefkos beach

pefkosPefkos beach is a beautiful scenic beach on Skyros located in a green area surrounded by lush pine trees from whence the name is derived. It is a tranquil paradise of green nature that meets the azure sea creating stunning images of natural harmony. The picturesque harbor with its colorful boats is the jewel of the region and is ideal for walks in a landscape that has kept intact with its natural beauty and its traditional character.

Acherounes beach

acherounes 01Acherounes is a seaside village on the west side of Skyros, very close to the town (about 10km). It is an ideal destination for families because almost always the sea is calm with shallow depths. From Acherounes you can visit the church of Lady Megklou with impressive painting the Mid-Autumn festival with dances. You can also admire the views of the islands Valaxa , Skyropoula and Renia from the beach. Also a walk in the village will leave you very beautiful simplicity of memories.


Kalamitsa beach

It boasts wonderful swings, along with the beaches Tristomo , Renes , Kolybada , Voukolina alongside creating a stunning combination for a memorable vacation and relaxation. The beach is very popular for its watersports, especially wind surfing. Together you can visit the spa with its marble fountain and cool water, the picturesque church of Agios Mamas, which was built on the ruins of the temple of Pana, and if you have the opportunity to attend the feast of St. Mamas, which takes place each year on September 2nd. Also worth seeing the tomb of English poet Rupert Brooke buried in an olive grove near Tris Boukes Bay

Atsitsa beach


It is a paradise with lush vegetation that reaches the sea, where it joins the green trees and blue sky and blue sea. It is one of the most picturesque resorts on the island and offers peace and tranquility to its guests.
